Iron
No steam
- Is there water in boiler?
- Is boiler filling cap closed correctly?
- Is the system switched on?
Soleplate drips
- Is the orange iron indicator light switched off?
- Is there any condensate after a long pause in ironing?
- Boiler rinsed out?
- SOFTPRESSING soleplate freshly attached?
- Did you use the recommended water?
Sole of iron is contaminated or brown
- Did you use the recommended water?
Green indicator light switches on and off during operation
- Normal
No steam when drawing the iron backwards (only STEAMUP i-G5)
- In automatic mode there is no steam flow when drawing the iron backwards.
Boiler
When there is a BEEP-BEEP and red indicator lamp is illuminated (only FIRST G1 & STEAMAX G2)
- Is there water in boiler?
Steam is escaping from boiler filling cap (only FIRST G1 & STEAMAX G2)
- Has seal been changed?
Water reservoir
Pump switches on and off during operation (only STEAMUP G4 & i-G5)
- Normal
When there is a BEEP-BEEP and red indicator lamp is illuminated (only STEAMUP G4 & i-G5)
- Water in cold water reservoir?
- Cold water reservoir correctly mounted?
Long pump noise for several minutes (only STEAMUP G4 & i-G5)
- Switch off iron, switch on again after 1 hour
- Soleplate SOFTPRESSING freshly attached?
- Did you use the recommended water?
Iron
No steam
- Is there water in cold water reservoir?
- Is the system switched on?
Soleplate drips
- Is the green indicator light on and the iron orange indicator light off?
- Is there any condensate after a long pause in ironing?
- Has the boiler been rinsed out?
- Has SOFTPRESSING soleplate just been put on?
- Has recommendend water been used?
No steam (only for MAGIC i-S5)
- In automatic mode there is no steam flow when drawing the Iron backwards.

Popping sound when switched on
