No — and this is one of the Laurastar AURA's most important advantages over standard steam cleaners. It’s steam cleaning technology, Dry Microfine Steam (DMS), superheats water twice up to 150°C, which means it contains very little liquid water.

As you move the nozzle across a surface, the steam penetrates the fibres and cleans deeply, killing bacteria, viruses, and dust mites — then evaporates almost instantly. Fabrics may feel lightly warm for a few minutes, but in most cases your mattress, sofa, or curtains can be used again shortly after treatment.

The key is to keep moving. Pass the textile nozzle continuously across the surface rather than holding it in one spot, and always purge the hose before you start.
